Dr. Robert Fuhrman is originally from Dubuque, Iowa, and a graduate of Wahlert High School. He received his B.A. degree in Biology from the University of Iowa in 1995 and was a member of the men's tennis team during his undergraduate years. After earning his B.A., Dr. Fuhrman pursued careers in medical research and professional tennis. He soon realized that he enjoyed working with children and improving their self-image (and was not going to be the next Roger Federer). So, eventually orthodontics became the perfect career match for him. Dr. Fuhrman earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of Iowa in 2004, and was inducted into the National Honor Dental Society - Omicron Kappa Upsilon. His M.S. degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa in 2006 allow him to create those beautiful smiles. Dr. Fuhrman is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, Iowa Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and Davenport District Dental Society. Besides tennis, Robert enjoys fishing, golf and snow skiing!
